Welcome!
I'm Mrs. Munson and I am looking forward to the 2015-2016 School Year/Courses!
Currently, homework help will be:
Mon-Thurs Period 5 in Room 201.
Other times will be available upon request.
All students are expected to do the following (as per their signed contracts!!):
1. Always be prepared, punctual and ready to do Chemistry.
2. Hand in assignments on time; late assignments receive -10% per day. Once an assignment is marked/returned, it not be accepted.
3. Notes, labs and assignments must be organized in a binder (i.e. dividers, sections, folders, etc...) and they will be evaluated with a rubric and portfolio 2X per semester.
4. No marks for plagiarism (i.e. copied assignments, cut/pasted answers, etc...) and all copied/plagiarized labs/work/tests receive 0%.
5. All labs handed in must be typed (when asked) and include rough copies of data and observations.
6. If known to miss a class or test, please inform Mrs. Munson BEFORE so not to fall behind. Get a classmate to pick up, or get work ahead, by whatever means necessary before the next class!
7. If going to miss a quiz/lab or test for an acceptable reason (same rules as attendance office), please bring a note to Mrs. Munson specifically to make up the work. If this is not done, a mark of 0% will be assessed. It is your responsibility to set up an appointment to complete the activity.
8. You are expected to memorize the charges of polyatomic and multivalent metals for tests/quizzes and final exam (SCH4U only).
9. All assignments/labs are due at the beginning of class the day they are due.
If you or your parents/guardians have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me at the school at (519)969-2530 ext 51065.
